Pro-Sail
is a young and dynamic company that caters for any wishes
pertaining to sailing on Curaçao and Spanish Water in particular.
Our company operates from marina Jachthaven Brakkeput on the north
west side of Spanish Water. This inner lake is a beautiful, sheltered
and safe lagoon on the south-east coast of Curaçao with only one outlet
to the Caribbean Sea. To the north of the lagoon are many bays and small
islands with mangroves and coral reefs. Pelicans, frigate-birds and various
other types of birds live here. The water abounds with fish and we often
see turtles swimming around. There are spectacular views on Table
mountain, Seru boca, Kabriet mountain, and landhouse Santa Barbara.To
the west we find the impressive housing esate of Jan Sofat, with beautiful
houses in various architectural styles. In yet another corner is a palm-tree
shadowed pristine beach with snorkel reef, called Barbara Beach. You can
get ther easily in your sailing boat. To the West of Spanish Water there
is a picturesque fishing harbour. Before or after your sail you can have
something to eat and drink at Bar/Restaurant Jachthaven Brakkeput, with
a breathtaking view over this lagoon, one of the most beautiful in the
Caribbean.
