you interested in learning how to sail in an open sloop on safe
and sheltered Spanish Water, one of the most beautiful lagoons
of the Caribbean?
You can with us!
Pro-Sail offers on a professional basis a sailing instruction course
of 10 lessons of two hours each. This includes two lessons on the
theory of sailing, rules of the road and how to make the proper
knots. After completion you will receive a certificate. The lessons
are taught on open, 6.2 m long sloops called Centaurs. These boats
are Dutch built, well equipped and very suitable for sailing instruction.
Your instructor has ample experience and speaks excellent English.
You can come any day of the week; the course is done individually
or in groups of two or three people.
Of course you can also simply enjoy 20 hours of sailing in a superb bay
under the sun, always windy and blue water with a temperature of 27
degrees C/85F.
Pro-Sail
Curaçao is affiliated with the Optimist Club Curaçao (OCC).
This enthusiastic club organizes Optimist sailing lessons and many other
activities (races, regattas, fun-events,camps) for children from 6 to 15
years old.
The OCC has its own dock with all the necessary facilities at the
Jachthaven Brakkeput from which Pro-Sail also operates. They have 15
club boats available, there are also some 40 private boats. Children
and parents living on Curaçao who are interested in becoming a member
and/ or taking lessons can contact the OCC via

For Children who are temporarily on Curaçao (e.g. on holiday) and who
wish to learn how to sail can do so through Pro-Sail Curaçao. The trainer
has ample experience in training youngsters and speaks excellent English.
